'Praying For Home' Print

from £40.00

Prints of original painting ‘Praying For Home’. Sizes between A3 - A0.

This vibrant poster features Aanisah Ali’s ‘Praying for Home’ original painting.

This painting highlights the cultural richness of its people and land. Through the use of vibrant colours, I seek to capture the physical beauty of the landscapes and the reality of the genocide. The olive branches and the keffiyeh patterns represent the boldness and resilience which stands as the focal point in the composition, offering a symbolic testament to the long lasting spirit of the Palestinian people. The Palestinian man praying is a representation of the faith that remains amongst the people whilst sitting in the rubble praying to return home.

In this piece, I aim to engage viewers not only with the beauty of Palestine’s environment but also with its stories of the children, the faith, the suffering and the resilience. I wanted to create a visual language that honours the history of Palestine while acknowledging the pain of displacement, yet also celebrating the deep connection its people have with the land.
